The Kardashian family is giving back to those in need this holiday season.

Kris Jenner has teamed up with his daughters Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian to plan a special treat for the women and children of Alexandria House. Founded in 1996, the nonprofit is a transitional housing organization that provides housing, child care, counseling and job preparation for homeless women.

“While many people celebrate the holidays with family and friends, these days can be very challenging for those who are dealing with very difficult life challenges, including being homeless,” said Judy Vaughan, founding director of Alexandria House, in a statement provided to PEOPLE. “Thank you to the Kardashians and their team for bringing so much love, joy and unexpected generosity to the women and children we serve.”

Earlier this week, Jenner, 67, and her daughters organized the installation of Christmas lights on the exterior facades of the two buildings at Alexandria House. Christian Smith Lighting donated a six-figure sum for the project.

The famous trio treated the women of Alexandria House to a morning of pampering. Glam Squad took care of their hair and make-up.

From there, the women and their children were able to take part in mini portrait photo sessions with photographers Larissa Block and Diana Henderson.

Kim, 42, and Khloé, 38, were later joined by their daughters North West, 9, and True Thompson, 4, as well as Rob Kardashian's daughter Dream Kardashian, 6, and her staff to visit Alexandria House.

The group was able to tour the two residential homes and then met the Alexandria House team and the women and children in the nonprofit organization's transition program.

The family also met with women participating in Alexandria House's Start Up Sisterhood program, where they learned about the businesses the participants started after moving out of the transitional housing facility.

Before hosting a healthy holiday meal from Beyond Meat, the Kardashians surprised all of the Alexandria House families with over $5,000 worth of gifts, including Google Chrome laptops, Stuart Weitzman shoes, Lego sets, gift cards from Burger King, Skims, Kylie Skin and Cosmetics, gift cards from Good American and pajamas from Children's Place.

TMZ was the first portal to report the news.

The Kardashian-Jenner family has made charitable causes a priority over the years, and for Kim, advocating for criminal justice reform has been especially important, an issue that inspired her to pursue a career as a lawyer.
