“Amazing” Netflix series with shocking ending keeps fans “up all night”

You think another hidden Netflix series that's addictive? This time it's the dramatic telenovela Pact of Silence… and fans can't sleep.

If you're looking for an exciting TV series that you've never heard of and have no idea what to expect, Netflix is still your best bet.

We've already been treated to entertaining moments from Baby Reindeer and Bridgerton, but a few unsung heroes have found their way into the social media conversation. Now it's the turn of Mexican drama Pact of Silence.

The series follows social media influencer Brenda, who plunges headfirst into the lives of four women, driven by her desire for the truth about their birth.

“I stayed up all night watching Pact Of Silence on Netflix. It was damn good,” posted one fan on X/Twitter.

A second said: “Pact of Silence on Netflix. Set in Mexico City, 18 episodes, the twists were incredible and all the drama!!”

“Oh my god! If you want to watch an incredible 18 episode series called Pact of Silence… #pactofsilence on @netflix. It will hook you. Very, very good. I didn't see the ending coming! Wow,” said a third.

Yes, you read that right: It's a whopping 18 episodes, a considerable number compared to what a new TV show usually gets on the streaming service.

“I understand why telenovelas air one episode a day. I'm here watching Pact of Silence on Netflix. I want to sleep but it's getting interesting and I want to see it to the end,” wrote another fan.

This isn't the only telenovela to hit Netflix this year. Fans have also praised Desperate Lies for its “crazy” pregnancy storyline, in which the title character gives birth to twins, each with a different father.

While Pact of Silence isn't quite as crazy, it does tackle difficult topics like homelessness, sexual abuse, and poverty – and it all culminates in an explosive ending (but we won't spoil the surprise).

But here's a hint: Things get ugly pretty quickly. The people who left Brenda for dead are on her hit list… and their chances of survival aren't good.

This month you can find more TV shows on streaming and catch up on new true crime shows and documentaries.
