The complete relationship chronicle of Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky

Lady Gaga is no longer thinking about bad relationships. The Grammy and Oscar-winning pop singer has found the right one, and his name is Michael Polansky.

The executive director and co-founder of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy was first linked to Gaga in 2020. Since then, the two have performed at awards shows, Super Bowls, and now even the Olympics. At the 2024 Olympics in Paris, Gaga announced that she and Polansky are engaged.

Below, we take a look back at their relationship, from the beginnings of their relationship during COVID to their soon-to-be married life.

July 28, 2024: Gaga announces her engagement at the Olympics.

After several months of speculation, Gaga announces that she and Polansky are engaged in a video shot at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

She reveals the news by referring to her boyfriend as her “fiancé” in a video showing her meeting with French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal. While wearing a patriotic Team USA jacket, she hugs the prime minister and waves to Polansky: “My fiancé.” Attal then posted the video on his official TikTok account, writing, “Thank you Lady Gaga for your stunning performance at the opening ceremony. It was breathtaking. 🤩🫶.” I guess the cat's out of the bag now.

The happy couple seems to have their favorite haunts, one of which is the Super Bowl. The annual NFL championship game was the site of one of their first public appearances in 2020, and they'll return in 2024 to watch the Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers (with the victory ultimately going to the Chiefs).

The two dress up for the game to show their support for San Francisco. Gaga wears a rhinestone-studded SF college jacket and matching glitter on her eyes, while Polansky wears a red 49ers jersey.

Almost two weeks after their concert-filled weekend in Las Vegas, Gaga and Polansky are on their way to a Saturday Night Live Afterparty at L'Avenue in New York City. Gaga makes a cameo appearance in the sketch series that night, then performs in a black leather coat with silver fringe on the chest. She keeps the rest of the look monochromatic, adding inky black pants, a black handbag and – in typical Gaga fashion – matching towering platform boots. Polansky wears a black T-shirt under a gray jacket, which he pairs with navy blue pants and steel blue sneakers.

October 9, 2023: The couple attends two concerts in Vegas.

Gaga and Polansky spend a pretty jam-packed weekend in Las Vegas, where they spend their nights not gambling but attending two major concerts: U2 and Katy Perry. Videos from fans show the couple enjoying the shows.

March 2022: The couple attends consecutive award ceremonies.

That's a double look. In a single day, Gaga and Polansky will attend two high-profile awards ceremonies together: the 2022 BAFTAs and the Critics' Choice Awards.

At the BAFTAs, the two get some screen time when presenter Rebel Wilson goes around handing out gold bras and chooses Polansky, giving him the bra for “Best Plus One” – whereupon Gaga hides her face in her hands. “Are you Lady Gaga's escort?” Wilson asks the manager. “That's a good entrance.” Then Gaga jokingly takes the bra off Polansky and hides it under her Ralph Lauren dress.

After this awkward moment, the two quickly board a plane and fly to their next destination – the Critics' Choice Awards in Los Angeles, where Gaga wows on the red carpet in a gold and black Gucci dress. Although she walks the carpet alone, Polansky later meets Gaga at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel.
