“The Nutcracker” plans Christmas tour stop in Phoenix

The holiday classic “The Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet” comes to downtown Phoenix this holiday season.

The 32nd annual North American tour will arrive at the Arizona Financial Theatre on Sunday, December 22nd at 3 p.m.

“We are excited about the upcoming tour and the holiday season,” Dan Talmi, executive producer of Talmi Entertainment, said in a press release. “As the only nationally touring production of 'The Nutcracker,' we strive to push creative boundaries to provide an unforgettable experience every night for the families who have made us a part of their holiday traditions.”

Pre-sale tickets will be available ahead of general sale, which begins Friday, August 9 at 10:00 a.m. on ticketmaster.com.

The production includes the poignant depiction of the “Land of Peace and Harmony” in Act II, featuring the signature acro-ballet adagio “Doves of Peace,” heard exclusively in The Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet. The show will also collaborate with international set designers from Czechoslovakia, South Africa, Chuvashia, St. Petersburg and New York.
