The program of the Journées du Patrimoine 2024 at the Tour Jean-Sans-Peur in Paris

  • Visit the Middle Ages in the heart of Paris: discover the Jean-sans-Peur Tower, the last vestige of the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy.
    21 and 22 September

    A short and beautiful visit to the Tour Jean sans Peur by Ateepix (2022)
    On September 21 and 22, 2024, discover the Tour Jean sans Peur, a medieval jewel in the heart of Paris and the only remaining part of the great palace of the Dukes of Burgundy.
    Built between 1409 and 1411 for the Duke of Burgundy, Jean sans Peur, the tower bears the name of its patron, a powerful prince who wanted to turn his seizure of power over the king into stone. To this end, he had a very high tower built, accessed by a large princely staircase and topped with a carved vault that is unique in France.
    During these European Heritage Days, the Jean sans Peur Tower team welcomes you and gives you all the keys you need to understand the monument!
    The visit is free (for a contribution of €2.50 per person) and includes access to the entire tower and its permanent exhibition on history, architecture and everyday life in the late Middle Ages, as well as to the exhibitions on the Saint-Jacques Tower and the School in the Middle Ages (exhibitions extended until January 5, 2025).
    Access to the entire monument, including the rooms for temporary exhibitions (Ecole au Moyen Âge, Tour Saint Jacques), is limited to 1 hour and 40 people at a time.
    Permanent exhibition translated into English, tower presentation available in 12 languages ​​(English, German, Italian, Spanish, Flemish, Greek, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Hungarian, Korean).
