The annual Christmas lights switch-on has confirmed its return for the holiday season. Each year, hundreds gather on the streets to watch a single neighborhood home being lit up to spread Christmas cheer and raise money for charity.

Owners Helen and Marty Walsh, of Palmerston Drive, Hunts Cross, decorate their home every year with Christmas lights – from giant neon trees in the garden and bridges along the garden to twinkling snowflakes and stars on the walls, doors and windows.

Last year's event featured over 3,000 lights synced to a festive soundtrack. Christmas classics included Fairytale of New York, I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday and Do They Know It's Christmas, alongside a handful of familiar favourites and pop classics for all ages.

Now in its fourth year, the family has already raised more than £3,800 for Alder Hey Children's Hospital. Entry to the event is free, but donations are appreciated by anyone who comes along to enjoy the show.
