The Nuggets Christmas game has the best prerequisites to become another NBA classic

Flashback to December 25, 2022: The Denver Nuggets (20-11) were tied for the top spot in the Western Conference when they hosted the fourth-seeded Phoenix Suns (19-14). Nuggets fans will remember this game for a number of reasons aside from the fact that it took place on Christmas Day. The most famous moment was probably Aaron Gordon's poster dunk in overtime, which the NBA dubbed “The Play of NBA Christmas Day.”

But there were plenty of other memorable moments, too. From Gordon's four alley-oops to Jamal Murray's dunk to tie the game with 11 seconds left in regulation to Landry Shamet becoming the Suns' best Ray Allen for parts of the game after Devin Booker left the game with an injury, it was a truly legendary basketball fan experience.

Fast forward to the present day: The Nuggets will face Phoenix again on Christmas Day, this time in the Valley rather than the Mile High City. Superstars Nikola Jokic, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Jamal Murray are expected to have some incredible moments in this exciting game. Michael Porter Jr. and Bradley Beal could also score a lot of points, depending on the two teams' schedules. Maybe Aaron Gordon will even have a sense of déjà vu and pull off a few spectacular dunks.

In no particular order relative to the start time, the complete NBA game schedule for Christmas Day will look like this:

Based on the home teams' time zones, there's a good to good chance the Nuggets will once again close out the Christmas schedule as a late game. The only other game that might fit in would be the Lakers-Warriors matchup. However, with LeBron James and Steph Curry both nearing the end of their careers, they're likely ready for a primetime slot. If that's the case, Nuggets and Suns fans are in for a long but entertaining Christmas Day.
