Self-guided tour of the Hôtel Dosne-Thiers and meeting with academics

Presentation of the Foundation
The Hotel Fondation Dosne-Thiers, property of the Institut de France, was donated in 1905 by Félicie Dosne, sister-in-law of Adolphe Thiers, to create a library on 19th-century French history, which today welcomes students and researchers in an environment extremely conducive to study.
The foundation houses the Centre de recherches humanistes (Fondation Thiers), which awards scholarships to young doctoral students in the humanities and social sciences.
The Hôtel de la Fondation has spacious, elegant rooms with natural light in which to host prestigious events.

10am – 6pm
Free guided tour of the hotel and the Thiers Library
Concert on Frédéric Chopin and Pauline Viardot, performed by the lyric singing class Nadia and Lili Boulanger of the Conservatoire du 9ème arrondissement, preceded by a lecture by Pierre Brunel, member of the Académie des sciences morales et politiques
(Saturday and Sunday, 11:00–12:30)

Historical presentations
