Suspect faces charges of burglary of home and business

WALNUT CREEK – A suspect accused of burglary appeared for a
preliminary hearing on August 13th.

Joshua M. Spain-Cue, 34, of Antioch, was arrested
on July 30 in connection with two separate burglaries.
Spain-Cue was booked into the Martinez Detention Center. Bail was set at $250,000.

Creek. One was a home invasion in the 1100 block of Flowerwood Place. The other was
a commercial burglary in the 800 block of Bancroft Road.
An alert resident reported seeing a suspicious man enter a neighbor's backyard in July.

Walnut Creek police arrested Spain-Cue and subsequently arrested him. After further investigation
Spain-Cue was involved in a previous commercial burglary on Bancroft Road.
Investigators presented evidence to the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office. Several
On August 1, charges were filed against Spain-Cue. His charges include
Burglary of a dwelling and second degree commercial burglary. At the time of his last arrest
Spain-Cue was on probation for a previous felony conviction.
Earlier this year, Spain-Cue was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was
in May 2021 for assault. In March 2017, he was convicted of possession of a
controlled substance.
