Pennsylvania man arrested for attempted murder after driving aggression incident in Frederick County

Maryland State Police arrested a Pennsylvania man on attempted murder and weapons charges following a DUI incident in Frederick County.

State police identified the suspect as Bryant Paradine, 37, of Littlestown, PA.

At around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Maryland State Troopers responded to the Frederick Barracks for a reported incident of driving aggression in which shots were fired, state police said.

According to state police, officers observed shots fired through the passenger compartment of the victim's vehicle. The victim was unharmed.

Maryland State Police Criminal Investigation Department arrived at the scene and examined the victim's vehicle, then recovered a projectile, state police said.

The victim called 911 and described the suspect vehicle as a maroon Chevrolet SUV with Pennsylvania license plates, according to state police.

A suspicious vehicle was identified and found unoccupied at a business in Thurmont, MD.

Investigators found Paradine in the store and executed a search warrant on the vehicle, recovering a loaded 9 mm handgun and an empty cartridge case of the same caliber, state police said.

Paradine is currently charged with attempted murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a serious crime and other related offenses.

Paradine was arrested Wednesday and taken to the Maryland State Police Frederick Barracks for processing. He is now awaiting his initial appearance in District Court.
