Operation Consequences: Crime-fighting efforts in Victorville and surrounding areas – VVNG.com

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) – Between August 3 and 9, 2024, law enforcement agencies conducted targeted crime suppression operations in Victorville and surrounding areas.

Operation Consequences involved multiple agencies working together, including the Sheriff's Gangs/Narcotics Division, Specialized Enforcement Division, California Highway Patrol and local police departments, to improve community safety.

On August 9, 2024, a targeted operation in Victorville and the surrounding area resulted in the execution of eleven search warrants in Wrightwood, Phelan, Victorville, and Grand Terrace. During these operations, investigators encountered gang members and individuals prohibited from possessing firearms. Authorities seized 14 firearms, including six ghost guns, and arrested 57 individuals on felony charges. In addition, over 16 pounds of suspected methamphetamine was seized.

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has allocated additional funding to support countywide crime-fighting efforts with the goal of increasing law enforcement efforts to address quality of life issues facing local communities.

Operation Consequences aims to conduct targeted crime reduction efforts and probation and parole reviews in the High Desert and San Bernardino areas. The initiative involves personnel from various law enforcement departments, and their efforts will focus on reducing violent crime, dismantling criminal street gangs, and arresting individuals involved in illegal firearms activity. This operation will last for several months to ensure the safety of the community.
