The man approached the vehicle. Frazier, the woman's current boyfriend, came out of the gas station, stood next to the victim, reached into the car, retrieved a gun and then shot the victim, prosecutors said.

As Frazier drove away, an off-duty police officer followed him to a residence. Frazier ran away, but was caught by the officer and Aurora police.

According to the press release, the victim was no longer able to walk, but there is still hope that he will regain this ability.

Frazier's next court date is October 16. He could be sentenced to 57 years to life in prison.
