Leesville man allegedly killed his girlfriend's dog

LEESVILLE, Louisiana (KPLC) – A Leesville man is facing charges after reportedly shooting his girlfriend's dog.

On August 13, officials with the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office said they received a complaint about a dog that had been shot inside a home in the 1200 block of Jeane Chapel Road in Leesville. When officers arrived, they discovered a dead dog inside the home.

Kenyon Crosby II, 23, shared the home with his girlfriend, and the dog belonged to Crosby's girlfriend.

According to officials, Crosby became angry with the dog after it urinated in the house. Crosby then allegedly shot the dog.

Crosby was arrested and charged with aggravated animal cruelty and unlawful use of a weapon.

No bond has been set for Crosby and he remains in the VPSO jail.
