You had a job: Outlook, Word and OneNote can “close unexpectedly while typing,” says Microsoft

Software bugs are a fact of life. With the increasing complexity of many modern programs, it's no surprise that with today's feature-packed applications, something will go wrong at some point. However, if the primary purpose of an app is to process text, you'd hope that simply typing wouldn't cause it to close.

According to Microsoft, this exact issue affects certain installations of Outlook, Word, and OneNote, and the Outlook and Office teams are currently investigating (via Neowin). In a support post, MS defines the issue as follows:
