I am a splosher and spend £100 a week on pudding videos

It all happened so quickly.

One moment, popular TV presenter Anthea Turner looked flawless in her black jacket and trousers on an episode of Noel's House Party, and the next she was laughing and gasping as she was covered from head to toe in a yellow-green smear.

And I was, there is no other way to put it, excited.

I remember blushing and feeling embarrassed by my body's immediate reaction, but most of all I was surprised that no one else around me seemed to have the same reaction.

Although I didn’t know it at the time, I had just discovered what would become a fetish for me in the years to come: “sploshing.”

What is sploshing?

This term generally describes a person who covers themselves or another person with a usually wet and sticky substance for the purpose of achieving sexual stimulation or arousal.

My favourite liquid? Custard. And I now regularly spend between £40 and £100 a week getting women to smear the mostly yellow sauce on themselves and send me the videos.

While Anthea's performance on Saturday night at prime time was undoubtedly my “sexual awakening” – seeing a celebrity or any other member of the public covered in slime was not an uncommon occurrence in '90s programming.

Gunge tanks were a staple on shows like Live and Kicking and Get Your Own Back, and I for one loved it.

At first I was embarrassed when other people were around and tried to watch it alone, but then I learned about the term “sploshing” when I was 16 or 17 and found a copy of Splosh magazine on eBay.

I quickly learned that there was a “chaotic” scene full of people just like me. And I finally felt validated.

Even though I knew I wasn't alone, I was always afraid that I would be ridiculed for my preferences, so I kept it to myself.

But in the early 2000s, while searching online, I came across a website that gave me my first glimpse of producer-created content.

Around the same time, I found a forum for sploshers, each with their own preferences when it came to substances such as slime, cake, mud – and I found my people.

I immediately felt comfortable and was able to chat with the others and see what they all liked.

While many were interested in being covered in all sorts of textures, I found custard and colored slime particularly erotic. It's the look of custard and the way it covers a body – it's soft and smooth and sticks really well.

But when I started dating, I made a conscious decision to never admit that I was into sploshing. I was always honest with women about my sexual preferences and interests, but I kept this particular preference to myself.

It was the fear of rejection and ridicule – I lived in a small town and knew how word got around.

Of course, this always made me I hold back in relationships. I always felt like I wasn't being completely honest and my sexual preferences were definitely not being satisfied.

That's ultimately why I started requesting videos from strangers five years ago.

I had more money to spend and sites like OnlyFans and ManyVids were becoming more popular, so I decided to try anonymously.

I first approached a model on ManyVids who said she was “fetishist-minded” – she had never heard of sploshing before, but the more I explained it, the more she wanted to try it.

I think what surprised her most was that, unlike her regular customers, I wanted her to keep her clothes on!

I asked OnlyFans creators with many followers on X to see if they're willing, but I've also posted ads on sites like AllThingsWorn – where women sell used panties – and others to find willing parties.

My ideal scenario is for a beautiful woman to wear a bikini or bra and pants and then smear herself with vanilla pudding. I usually ask her to pour five one-litre cartons over her head so that the pudding runs down her face and body.

If that doesn’t pique your interest enough, I will sometimes Try to sell the idea that custard is actually a great hair conditioner and moisturizer.

This isn't a trick though. Almost all the ladies who have tried it agree that it's the beauty industry's best kept secret!

Should they decide to proceed, they normally charge £4 per minute for a 10 minute video plus the cost of the custard and I am more than happy to pay that amount.

I always choose premium brands – I don't want to offend anyone by suggesting that they are only worthy of the own brand from the supermarket. Only the best is good enough.

Then I ask them to send me the underwear they wore in the video.

However, I learned the hard way that you have to wash them before sending them, as I once received some that were still full of custard and – not surprisingly – went rancid in the mail.

But I'm not just into women who put on cream. I also like splashing around alone.

The first time I did it alone was as part of a challenge from another splosher. But since I live in a shared apartment, I had to choose my moment carefully.

It was an incredible feeling to get into the shower and cover myself in a thick mess. Yes, it is my sexual fetish, but I also find it quite relaxing. The soft feel and the bright colors were and are very calming for me.

Admittedly, it almost ended in disaster as I was super slippery at the end. To be honest, I was lucky that my roommates didn't find me in the bathtub when they returned.

But now, I inject about every few months.

I love my fetish and don't want to lose interest in it. And somehow I also like that it is a mysterious part of my personality.

Til today I have never reenacted sploshing with a woman in real life. I wish it was more normal, like foot fetishes and BDSM have become, but it's my own complexes about ridicule and rejection that keep me from trying it in real life.

There isn't as much press coverage about sploshing anymore and gunging isn't as big a deal anymore either, but it does happen occasionally.

For example, in May last year I saw a picture of Nigella Lawson covered in salted caramel on the cover of women's magazine Stylist. Once again, I was completely thrown for a loop.

I know that was not the intention behind the shoot, but it gives me hope that Shoots like this and the opportunity to tell my story will help bring sploshing into the mainstream and “normalize” it.
