1 dead and 3 injured in traffic accident in Robertson County along Highway 6

ROBERTSON COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – A 66-year-old Franklin woman was pronounced dead in a multi-vehicle crash in Robertson County this week.

According to a preliminary accident report from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), a pickup truck towing a trailer was stopped on FM 2549 and Highway 6 before turning north onto HWY 6 when it collided with a Cadillac shortly before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14.

After the pickup truck struck the Cadillac, that vehicle struck a Kia Soul and then skidded, entering the southbound lanes and colliding head-on with a semi-truck.

A Robertson County justice of the peace pronounced 66-year-old Cadillac driver Diana Burleson of Franklin dead at the scene. The driver of a Kia Soul and a 10-year-old passenger as well as the driver of the semi-trailer were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

The Texas Department of Law Enforcement's investigation is ongoing.
