Second 18-year-old arrested in fatal shooting in Albemarle – WSOC TV

ALBEMARLE, NC – A second person has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting on July 24 in Albemarle.

According to Albemarle police, 18-year-old Jamie Jermaine Mack of Kannapolis was arrested Thursday in Buffalo, New York.

Police said Dy'Zavious Izayah Bivens, 18, of Albemarle, was shot and killed on North Sixth Street at Park Ridge Road on July 24. Authorities believe the shooting was not random and said everyone involved knew each other.

Two days later, Albemarle police announced that the first suspect, 18-year-old Damani Jacquez Wall, had turned himself in and been booked into the Stanly County Jail.

Wall was charged with first-degree murder, attempted armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and serious bodily harm.

Police announced Mack's arrest on Friday. He faces the same charges as Wall and is being held in New York.
