Video shows father and son jet skiing before accident in Florida Keys – NBC 6 South Florida

A father and son who died in the Florida Keys are seen on surveillance video taken while traveling together on a personal watercraft before the fatal accident.

Jose Dominguez, 47, and his nine-year-old son Daniel were killed in the crash Tuesday evening, according to a report from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

According to the report, the two were riding a 2018 Yamaha personal watercraft when they crashed into a concrete wall near Castaways Waterfront Restaurant in Marathon shortly before 7 p.m.

The two are pictured twice on the surveillance video. They are wearing life jackets and it appears as if Dominguez is looking at his son.

The watercraft was traveling at high speed through a canal system when it struck the seawall, the report said. Father and son succumbed to their injuries, the report said.

According to the report, alcohol was not involved in the accident.

FWC officials said the crash remains under investigation.
