You have probably seen “reserved” trend on social media, so we explain how it came about!

Trans influencers like Selyna Brillare And Devin Halbal are considered the first TikTok stars to use the term regularly in their videos, but Jools Lebron is generally considered to be the one who popularized the trend in summer 2024.

Joolswho is also a trans woman, has made videos about how to be “modest” in the workplace.

In a viral video, she said, “See how I do my makeup for work? Very low key. Very attentive. I don't come to work with a green eyelid. I don't look like a clown when I go to work. I don't do too much. I'm very attentive while I'm at work. See how I look very presentable? The way I came to the interview is the way I go to work. A lot of you girls go to the interview looking like Marge Simpson and go to work looking like Patty and Selma. Not low key. I'm very modest. I'm very attentive. See my shirt? Just a little bit of chichi out, not my chocho. Remember why they hired you.”

Jools has since made a whole series of videos about how to stay “low key” in her life, and they have garnered so much attention that her life has changed.

In a new video Jools said, “Hey pendeja, maybe you should do the videos. Maybe you should do the videos. Because for one day I played cashier on my break and made videos, and now I'm flying across the country hosting events and I'm going to be able to finance the rest of my transition. I finally said it without crying!”
