Celtics fans are frustrated by rising ticket prices

Boston Celtics fans are once again starting to get really upset about the rising ticket prices. Ticket prices for season ticket holders have increased by over 40%, making it too expensive for even the most diehard fans.

According to fans, prices for decent seats are around $247. That's just for the seats, not including food, drinks, parking or other purchases. The cheapest seats were almost $100 before taxes.

Fans attribute this to the fact that the Celtics were recently champions of the NBA, which leads to higher ticket prices because they are the champions. Prices for the Celtics are also notoriously high because they are the Celtics, one of the most legendary basketball franchises in the world.

However, most fans agree that this huge price increase is primarily due to one thing: contracts. The Celtics have spent over a BILLION dollars on their starting lineup alone. They have several players on nine-figure contracts, but they are locked in for at least half a decade.

That's the price Celtics fans have to pay for a dynasty. Whoever owns the Celtics, whether the current owner or whoever they sell to, has to keep the team together no matter what. But they also have to help the fans, even if it hurts their bottom line.
