Three men arrested after drug investigation in Plainfield

PLAINFIELD, CT (WFSB) – Three men were arrested following two drug investigations in Plainfield.

According to police, emergency services stopped a black Audi on Wednesday.

The driver, identified as 39-year-old Steven Callender of New Britain, was found in possession of drug paraphernalia and cocaine. Money associated with the sale of illegal narcotics was also found in his vehicle.

He was arrested and charged with failure to obey a stop sign, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substances. He was released on $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court on August 26.

Then, around 4:00 a.m. Friday morning, police along with the Willimantic Region SWAT team executed a search and seizure warrant on a residence in Moosup.

Two men, 54-year-old Roy “Butch” Goodwin and 35-year-old Alraheem “Rah” Williams, were arrested after they were found in possession of drug paraphernalia, numerous handguns, a large quantity of crack cocaine and money related to the sale of illegal narcotics.

Goodwin is charged with possession of narcotics with intent to distribute, possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of illegal possession of a firearm.

Williams is charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, two counts of possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of illegal possession of a firearm.

Both were released on $100,000 bail and are scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court on September 3.
