FitnessMania 2024: All champions live to fight another day

N Shape Fitness Center in Statesboro recently hosted FitnessMania, a community event designed to not only introduce people to the gym, but also provide a family-friendly afternoon of wrestling! Check out photos and highlights from all the matches.

On Saturday, August 10, 2024, N Shape Fitness Center hosted a FitnessMania event that included pro wrestling, tours, and special membership offers. N Shape owners Randy and Tommy Lewis organized the event to reintroduce their state-of-the-art facility, along with neighboring The FIX Studio, to the community.

The afternoon also included another exciting round of APW Wrestling.

announcer Ansleigh the Intern And Cujo' welcomed everyone to the event. The evening began with Cujo and the former champion Tim Humphreybut the action quickly escalated when APW Heavyweight Champion Country Tone refused to wrestle. Commissioner Lil T stepped in and announced that Clay's opponent would be the winner of the upcoming N Shape Fitnessmania Battle Royal.

The Battle Royal was nothing short of packed. Seven men participated, but one stood out. Former Georgia Southern star cooper won the Battle Royal and wanted to challenge Country Clay for the champion spot later that evening.

Next: “The Goth Mami” Ravyn took over the fan favorite BiiBii in a 2 out of 3 falls match. Ravyn upset the crowd by giving BiiBii two pinfalls.

DL Rolf & Phil DeCarlo w/Randa Lynn pinned the fam JJ, the wrestling engineer and Baby Dee to retain their APW Tag Champions.

Tim Humphrey & Cujo' defeated T-Beaux and Cupid in a classic tag team match. Albert Exley was the special referee. Angry that his partner had left him, T-Beaux called the FIX owner Terrell to the ring. Terrell, 6'4″ and 275 pounds, taught T-Beaux a lesson in respect, throwing him hard to the mat to the delight of the crowd.

After returning from the Battle Royal, Cooper wanted to defeat Country Clay and become the new APW Heavyweight Champion. The two are not fond of each other. The fight was full of hard punches and chest blows, and Cooper – a former football player – used his speed and intensity. But sometimes good things come to an end, and Country Clay spat water in Cooper's eyes and was able to roll him up for a one-two-three victory.

In the main event JC Black hit Gemma Jewels. After the match, BiiBii came out to congratulate JC Black on her win, only to turn on her, screaming that she didn't like losing earlier in the night, so she took her anger out on Black, ending the night a sore loser.

APW is scheduled to return for another round of wrestling fun on September 29th. More information to come soon.
