Brazilian migrant accused of multiple sex crimes arrested in Massachusetts: ICE

An illegal immigrant from Brazil was arrested by ICE officials in Massachusetts after an alleged series of sex crimes.

Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) announced that Jackson Bento-Pinheiro was arrested in Wakefield, Massachusetts, after illegally entering the United States

According to authorities, the 35-year-old was charged in Massachusetts with rape, indecent assault and battery, and domestic violence.

A law enforcement source confirmed to Fox News that the local bail commissioner approved his release on bail despite an outstanding warrant for domestic violence.

ICE was on site and arrested him, the source said.

The migrant's conflicts with the law began when he was arrested at the border near San Ysidro, California, in July 2021.

The next day, border officials gave Bento a summons to appear before a Justice Department immigration judge and then released him back onto the streets.

Bento reported to ERO Boston on August 22, 2021 and was removed from the Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program, which allows migrants to their immigration process.
