Multiple shooters involved in early morning incident at JBSA-Lackland

SAN ANTONIO – Security officers at JBSA-Chapman Training Annex in San Antonio exchanged fire this morning with gunmen attempting to break down the main gate.

At approximately 4:30 a.m., individuals with no suspected military affiliation attempted to enter the training annex at JBSA-Chapman.

The main gate of the JBSA-Chapman Training Annex is currently closed while the incident is investigated. Traffic is being diverted to another access point north on Ray Ellison Blvd. Local law enforcement is also involved in the investigation and has responded to the facility.
