Shuttle buses replace MBTA Red Line service following a medical emergency

On Saturday afternoon, shuttle buses replaced the MBTA's Red Line subway service between Harvard and Broadway stations due to what the transit agency described as a medical emergency at the Park Street station. The MBTA said Green Line trains would also temporarily detour Park Street. The incident occurred around noon at the Park Street station. Boston Fire and EMS responded to the scene. Commuters were asked to allow extra travel time while the situation was resolved.

The MBTA announced that Green Line trains would also temporarily bypass Park Street.

The incident occurred around noon at Park Street Station.

The Boston Fire Department and Boston Emergency Medical Services were on scene.

Commuters have been asked to allow for longer travel times while the situation is resolved.
