Ariana Madix's mother asks in a letter for the release of her son from prison

In contact received the letter Tanya wrote to the court as part of Jeremy's bail application. Jeremy and his friend Jonah Ahad got into trouble on February 16 while traveling from Orlando International Airport in Florida to Germany.

Court documents received from In contact revealed that Customs and Border Protection agents searched Jeremy's pockets and found 64 bags of marijuana weighing over 75 pounds.

Agents found more in Jonah's bag. The two men were not arrested at the airport. However, Jeremy was charged with human trafficking this month and arrested on July 10.

According to court documents, the In contactJeremy was extradited to Florida and held without bail.

His lawyer said Jeremy poses neither a danger to the community nor a flight risk.

His application stated: “Mr. Madix resides in Oceanside, California, where he lives with his fiancée. He has lived in California for over 10 years and has both family and friends there and a strong family network ready to support him.”

His attorney added: “Mr. Madix is ​​gainfully employed at a vodka distillery and tasting room. He is hardworking and regularly works 10 to 12 hour days. Mr. Madix's job is waiting for him in California, assuming he can return there within a reasonable period of time. Mr. Madix is ​​enrolled in college courses at Mira Costa College in Oceanside, California. He is enrolled in courses beginning the week of August 19, 2024.”

The attorney said Jeremy would be able to travel to Florida for court hearings without any problems. Jeremy's attorney attached letters from friends and family supporting his release on bail. His mother wrote, “I am Tanya Madix Jeremy's mother. He is a wonderful, loving son. When he comes to visit, he always takes care of anything I want done at my house. He is a kind person. He always checks on me.”

She added: “He has been doing well in California for the last 10 years. He has a good job and is well-liked by his employers. He shares a home with his lovely fiancée Rachael and their two dogs. Jeremy is proud of his home and puts a lot of effort into improving the property.”

Her letter ended with the words: “Jeremy has built up a large circle of very good friends and a network of supportive acquaintances. He is valued and respected by those around him. I am very proud of my son's achievements.”

Another friend of Jeremy's wrote, “I've known Jeremy for about 7 years. We met through mutual friends and have always stayed in touch, meeting at BBQs, family gatherings, etc. I've always known Jeremy to be one of the nicest people I know. He's never once mean. Whenever I needed anything, even if it was just to talk.”

According to court records, bail was set at $80,000 following the most recent hearing.
