Superbad turns 17. Watch the best moments from the film

Want to feel old?

Well, buckle up because I have some news that might surprise you. Saturday marks the 17-year anniversary of “Superbad” hitting theaters.

That’s right, folks. It’s already been 17 years since one of the greatest comedies was released on August 17, 2007.

“Superbad” was released 17 years ago.

Honestly, it's a little hard to believe that it's been so long since the world was introduced to Superbad. It feels like a lifetime ago, and in many ways, it probably was.

Starring Michael Cera, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Emma Stone, Seth Rogen and Bill Hader, it was one of the last great comedies before the genre went belly up. It's a deeply offensive film, unabashedly inappropriate and hilarious from start to finish.

The film focuses on a theme and a story that many readers have probably experienced at some point in their lives:

Trying to conquer a woman who is yours and also getting hold of alcohol before you are 21.

Hands up. We all know that, and that's why the film is still so well received almost two decades after its release.

Most movies are lucky if they're still relevant 48 hours after their release. 17 years have passed, and Superbad is still as quotable and entertaining as ever.

To celebrate the anniversary of its release, let's relive some of the film's best moments:

We need to get back to making comedies that go completely off the rails. There's a whole plot in Superbad about a character who's addicted to drawing male genitalia. In another plot, two cops catch a guy who loses his virginity in the most embarrassing way imaginable.

The chance that a major Hollywood studio would make something like Superbad today is pretty much zero, because wokeness has destroyed humor. That's a real shame, because great comedies are a sign of a healthy and strong society.
