Inside linebackers are hit

The New York Giants lost their second preseason game 28-10 against the Houston Texans, but more importantly, the injury situation on the team was anything but optimal.

The Giants were hit hardest at the inside linebacker position, where Matthew Adams and starter Micah McFadden both suffered hip injuries that knocked them out of the game. New York had to enter this game without Dyonte Johnson (ankle), and roster depth now becomes a question mark.

The Giants also had two injuries on the defensive line, including Ryder Anderson (hamstring) and DJ Davidson (eye).

DB Jonathan Sutherland (stinger) and tackle Yodney Cajuste (foot) were also injured in the game. It's unclear how much time, if any, they will ultimately miss.

In Ogre injury news, return specialist/receiver Gunner Olszewski expected break of 2-4 weeks due to a groin injuryOlszewski left practice early on Thursday accompanied by a trainer and did not play in the game against the Texans, raising the possibility that receiver/returner Isaiah McKenzie could potentially take over the returner role.
