Jamestown police are investigating three shootings in the last two days

JAMESTOWN, NY — Three separate shootings that occurred Friday and Saturday in the city of Jamestown remain under investigation.

According to Jamestown police, a shooting occurred early Friday morning in downtown Jamestown. The exact location was not given, but officials say the victim got into a fight with another person and was taken to an out-of-area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Later Friday, another shooting was reported in the area of ​​Prendergast Avenue. Police say one victim was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.

At around 1 a.m. on Saturday morning, reports of shots fired in the Victoria Avenue area led to the arrest of a man.

Juan A. Tufino Jr., 33, of Jamestown was arrested for possession of a loaded pistol and is being held pending arraignment on a charge of criminal possession of a weapon.
