The influence of Australian breakdancer Raygun has found its way into the Octagon.

Australian fighter Casey O'Neill paid tribute to the Olympian by copying her dance moves in celebration after her victory over Luana Santos at UFC 305.

After the win, O'Neill joked that she liked her celebration better than Raygun's Olympic performance, adding that she might have to take a break from MMA to compete in breakdancing at the Olympics:

“I think I did better than (Raygun) in the Olympics. … Maybe I need to take a break from MMA and get a gold medal.”

O'Neill won by unanimous decision in the third round. This was her 10th victory overall, but only her first since 2022. It ends a two-fight losing streak and the celebrations show she took inspiration from her compatriot.

Raygun, whose real name is Rachael Gunn, reached viral Fame for her performance in Paris. She lost all three duels 18-0, but her unique approach to breakdancing as a sport earned her both praise and criticism.

Although she didn't win a medal, she's probably the star of the event in mainstream circles, and O'Neill's reference shows the influence she's had on her country's athletes.
