KCPD investigates fatal shooting Saturday night at Smart and Bales Avenes

Kansas City, Missouri police are investigating a shooting involving two men that left one man dead. Police say officers were called to the 300 block of Maple just after 4:15 p.m. for a report of shots fired. While en route, police were notified that a car had been shot at as it left the scene. A few minutes later, officers were called to Smart and Bales avenues for a shooting, where they found two men who had been shot. One man died at the scene and the other was taken to the hospital, where he was last reported in stable condition. There is no information on a suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS hotline anonymously at 816-474-TIPS. There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information submitted anonymously to the TIPS hotline.

Police in Kansas City, Missouri, are investigating a shooting involving two men that left one man dead.

Police said officers were called to the 300 block of Maple shortly after 4:15 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

While officers were on the way, police were informed that shots had been fired at a car that had left the scene.

A few minutes later, officers were called to the corner of Smart Avenue and Bales Avenue for a shooting, where they found two men shot.

One man died at the scene of the accident, the other was taken to hospital where his condition was last considered stable.

No information about the suspect.
