Loitering investigation leads to six arrests in Seaford | Latest News

SEA FOUNTAIN, EN — According to Seaford Police, six people were arrested Thursday evening after Seaford Police, with assistance from Delaware State Police, responded to an incident involving loitering and suspected drug trafficking at the intersection of North and Woolford Streets.

Seaford Police had been monitoring the area with live video cameras when officers noticed a group of people sitting on chairs and standing on the sidewalk, obstructing pedestrian traffic. Officers also noticed signs of possible drug activity.

According to police, as officers approached the group, 28-year-old Elijah Desir of Seaford attempted to flee on foot after dropping a package. He was quickly arrested without further incident. Upon searching the packages, police found 48.7 grams of crack cocaine and 130 bags of suspected heroin weighing approximately 0.91 grams.

Desir was charged with multiple offenses including possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell (Level 3), possession of crack cocaine (Level 3), possession of heroin with intent to sell, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of drug paraphernalia (two counts), and loitering. He was remanded to the Delaware Department of Corrections on $131,801 cash bail and ordered to stay away from the area.

Five other people were also taken into custody:

  • Donald White, 30, of Ellendale, was charged with possession of marijuana (83.7 grams) with intent to resell, loitering and violation of probation. He was remanded to the Correctional Facility on a total of $15,001 cash and secured bond and ordered to avoid the intersection of North and Woolford Streets.

  • Jonathan Dugazon, 22, of Seaford, was charged with loitering, criminal damage and disturbing the peace in connection with a warrant issued by the Blades Police Department. Dugazon was released on bail.

  • Schweitzer Dessin, 22, of Seaford, was charged with loitering and released on Oregon State bail with a no-contact order for the intersection.

  • Johnlee Miracle, 27, of Seaford was charged with loitering and released on bail from the state of Oregon with a no contact crossing order.

  • Jaimere Harrison, 24, of Frederica was charged with loitering and released on bail from the state of Oregon with a no-contact order for the intersection.
