CM Punk calls Jack Perry's backstage incident at AEW at Fanatics Fest “bullshit”

CM Punk encountered several issues while working for AEW. He had a bad reputation for starting fights backstage, which eventually earned him his marching orders. With the emergence of the Chicago-based star's troubled relationship with several AEW stars, several other notions surfaced during his AEW tenure. Additionally, Punk recently discussed all of the issues and explained why this would not happen in WWE.

CM Punk recently gave an interview with Fanatics Fest where he claimed that his behavior towards a person is determined by the behavior that person gives him. The former WWE Champion even said he has two personalities and when AEW didn't treat him well behind the scenes, he brought out his other personality and didn't treat it right either, which is not the case in WWE. The Stamford-based promotion welcomed him with a warm embrace, which explains his changed behavior in his second tenure with the company.

Punk even addressed the people who spread lies about him. The Best in the World revealed that these are the same people who cannot accept his brilliance. Furthermore, he stated that these are the same people who have proven to be a stumbling block to his own growth.

In the interview he explained: “If you're a piece of sh*t and you act like that towards me, I'm going to treat you like that. If you're nice, you smile, you want to have fun, let's have fun, then I'll hug you. And it's not that I'm two different people, there are just certain people – the ones that spread these lies, the ones that say these things about me, it's because they can't control me, they can't control the things that I do and say, and they absolutely hate that.”

CM Punk's tenure in WWE seems to be going well so far, as the company has big plans for the best in the world.

WWE has prepared a whole host of delicious opponents for CM Punk

WWE has so far chosen Drew McIntyre as Punk's opponent and fans have enjoyed the feud. Everything about the feud has been masterfully crafted, despite Punk spending most of his time on the sidelines. Still, this doesn't seem to be Punk's only important conflict at the moment. As of today, Punk plans to end his rivalry with McIntyre soon, which will most likely take place at the Bad Blood PLE.

Furthermore, according to some recent speculations, Punk could be involved in a new feud after Bad Blood, with Seth Rollins likely next in line. Both former champions have shown how much they like each other. The Visionary exploded in delirium at Survivor Series PLE 2023 last year while witnessing Punk's iconic comeback to the promotion. Many had hoped that this would lead to a personal feud between the two. However, that hasn't quite happened. Despite heated exchanges, the duo has failed to settle their differences in the ring. Both superstars have moved on to greener pastures. However, their differences reared their ugly head again at SummerSlam.

Rollins donned the referee's shirt for Punk's rematch against Drew McIntyre. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion took the opportunity to indulge in some antics. Unfortunately, his antics pushed the wrong buttons in Punk's head as he punished Rollins at a crucial moment in the match. This ultimately cost the former AEW star the win. After settling matters with the Scotsman, Punk could look to rekindle his feud with The Visionary for another iconic feud. Despite this, it looks like Punk has put his troubled past behind him and is optimistic about the future.
