Laurie Anderson releases new single with ANOHNI and Marc Ribot

“Amelia” It will be Laurie Anderson’s first album in six years, following the release of “Landing” It will be released in 2018 by Nonesuch and consists of 22 tracks in which we will find a long list of guests. So far we have already heard “Road To Mandalay” and now this “India And On Down To Australia”. The highly respected guitarist Marc Ribot And ANONYMOUSwe remember Anderson and her late husband Lou Reed They have been top supporters for years.

As one can already see from reading the two published titles, the songs reflect part of a journey, of which the tragic last journey of the pilot Amelia Earhartto which the album pays homage. Earhart was the first woman to fly across the Atlantic in 1932. Five years later, she attempted an ambitious round-the-world flight, but her plane disappeared without a trace.
