86-year-old Warren man arrested in child pornography case

WARREN, Arkansas – An 86-year-old man was arrested in connection with child pornography, according to Arkansas State Police.

On Thursday, state police special agents arrested Rocky Goodwin of Warren for “distribution, possession or viewing of material depicting sexually explicit conduct with a child,” the agency said in a press release.

In May 2024, agents with the state police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) executed a search warrant at Goodwin's Warren residence after several cyber tips were reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, police said.

During the investigation, a laptop found in the house was confiscated and analyzed. According to the press release, the analysis revealed several known images of child abuse as well as an internet history related to CSAM material.

Goodwin was taken by state police to the Dallas County Jail, where his bail was set at $150,000.
