Released WWE star returns to the ring at indie event

Xia Li made headlines a few years ago when she became the first Chinese talent to join WWE. After honing her skills in NXT, she debuted on Friday Night SmackDown in 2021. Following her release from WWE earlier this year, she recently competed in her first match since leaving the company.

In April of this year, Xia Li announced her departure from WWE, surprising many fans who were excited to see what she could accomplish as a Superstar, but many felt that she simply wouldn't be able to reach her true potential there.

It was clear that she would soon be back in the ring, and that's exactly what happened. Xia Li returned to the ring during West Coast Pro's Queen of Indies event at the United Irish Culture Center in San Francisco. Xia Li teamed up with Aja Kong and Viva Van, and Li was able to show off her skills in combat as well.

This was certainly a great performance for Xia Li and we will have to wait and see what is next for her as fans hope that she will sign a contract with a major pro wrestling company soon.
