Man stabbed to death by his wife at work

Yesterday at 6:25 a.m., Flowood Police received a 911 call reporting that a man and woman were involved in a disturbance at a Flowood business.

The woman had stabbed the man once in the arm and slashed the tires of his vehicle. Officers arrived at the scene and found that both parties were from Mendenhall and that the woman had fled the scene. She was arrested a short time later by the Simpson County Sheriff's Department and transported to Flowood.

The victim was treated at the scene by medical personnel and suffered a non-life threatening injury. The case will be forwarded to the Rankin County District Attorney's Office for prosecution. Flowood Police thank the Simpson County District Attorney's Office for their assistance in apprehending the suspect.

The suspect was identified as Falbrina Blackwell.
