Man charged with premeditated murder after fatal shooting in apartment

NINE-YEAR-OLD HUDSON JUSTIN. POLICE HAVE MADE AN ARREST IN CONNECTION WITH A FATAL SHOOTING FROM FRIDAY EVENING IN OKLAHOMA CITY. POLICE WERE FIRST CALLED TO RESPOND TO A SHOOTING AT THE DUNJEE APARTMENTS NEAR NORTHEAST 39TH AND DUNGEE BOULEVARD. THERE THEY FOUND 49-YEAR-OLD SHARE JOHNSON, WHO WAS SHOT AND KILLED. POLICE SAY THE SUSPECT WALKED AWAY FROM THE SCENE WHEN THEY ARRIVED THERE AND WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY. POLICE SAY A SECOND PERSON WAS SHOT. THEY WERE TAKEN TO HOSPITAL AND ARE EXPECTED TO SURVIVE. Man charged with first-degree murder after fatal shooting in northeast Oklahoma City apartment

A 36-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder for his role in a shooting that left a 49-year-old man dead and another person hospitalized.

On Aug. 9, at around 7:25 p.m., officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department were called to an apartment complex on Dunjee Boulevard near Northeast 36th Street for a report of a shooting. At the scene, officers learned Devontia Robinson left on foot but was quickly arrested. >> Download the KOCO 5 app Officers said an argument broke out at the apartment complex and Robinson pulled out a gun and shot Sherratt Johnson. Johnson later died of his injuries at the scene. A second person was also shot and taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. On Friday, Robinson was charged with first-degree murder and illegal possession of a firearm, according to Oklahoma County court records. On August 9, at approximately 7:25 p.m., Oklahoma City Police officers were called to an apartment complex on Dunjee Boulevard near Northeast 36th Street for a reported shooting.

At the scene, officers learned that Devontia Robinson had left the area on foot, but was quickly arrested.

Officials said there was an argument at the apartment complex and Robinson pulled out a gun and shot Sherratt Johnson. Johnson later died of his injuries at the scene.

A second person was also shot and taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

On Friday, Robinson was charged with first-degree murder and illegal possession of a firearm, according to Oklahoma County court records.

Oklahoma County Detention Center records show Robinson's bail was set at $10 million.
