New color coming!? iPhone 16 Pro Max leak reveals new bronze and gold color option

Latest leaks about the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro Max have introduced a new color option that is catching the interest of tech enthusiasts. Although Apple has not officially announced the iPhone 16 yet, it is widely expected launch in September 2024Dummy units of the device, which are models used to predict the design and color options, have given a first look at a new gold-like bronze color variant.

Well-known leaker Sonny Dickson has shared images of these dummy devices, suggesting that they are the larger iPhone 16 Pro Max rather than the smaller Pro model. These devices are consistent with previous leaks, with the new bronze-gold color a unique addition:

So far, the expected colors for the iPhone 16 Pro Max have been white, black, and natural titanium, so the Bronze Gold variant is a notable surprise. The new Bronze Gold color is described as a dark mix of yellow-orange, reminiscent of sandy brown or saddle brown leather, although the back of the iPhone will likely be made of glass. This color deviates from the typical gold tones Apple has offered in the past, offering a more sophisticated and subdued appearance.

Although they are dummy devices, these models give a good indication of what the final retail version of the iPhone 16 Pro Max might look like. They feature identical camera openings, but lack a rectangular slot for the expected tetraprism periscope camera, suggesting that the design is still speculative.

Additionally, rumors suggest that Apple plans to replace the iPhone 15 Pro's Blue Titanium color with a “rose” or “rose gold” color for the iPhone 16 Pro's titanium body. The newly leaked bronze tone is consistent with these rumors and may offer different shades depending on how the device reflects light, making it even more attractive. This innovative color choice could appeal to consumers looking for a fresh aesthetic in their smartphone options.
