Ivanka Trump shares viral video of herself learning to surf with 'unparalleled' surfing legend

After the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and the legendary waves that Tahiti produced, surfing was given an incredible platform and is now more popular than ever.

Considering that the 2024 surfing season is coming to an end and the spotlight is so big, everyone is overcome by the urge or longing to jump on a board and learn to surf.

Ivanka Trump, the daughter of former US President Donald Trump, is also affected by this virus.

She recently shared a viral video on Instagram of herself learning to surf at the Kelly Slater Surf Ranch in Lemoore, California. Her instructor is the “incomparable” Raimana Van Bastolaer, who rides right behind his students as they learn the basics of surfing.

Even Kim Kardashian joined in the fun and commented to Ivanka, “Look at you!! Wow, incredible.”

Regardless of political beliefs, this kind of press and exposure is a great thing for the sport of surfing, as it is currently riding a wave of unprecedented international attention that it has rarely experienced before.

The Kelly Slater Surf Ranch has been teaching people, including several celebrities, how to surf for years in its state-of-the-art pool, which produces “the longest, open, high-powered man-made wave in the world.”

In addition, it is the only WSL-certified wave system in the world that is qualified to participate in the WSL elite competition.

Now Ivanka Trump and her family are the latest in a long line of new surfers learning to surf at a legendary location and with a legendary instructor.
