16-year-old seriously injured in street racing accident in Grand Prairie – health condition appears to be improving

A teenager who survived a plane crash in Grand Prairie that killed four of his family members is reportedly doing better.

According to a GoFundMe campaign, 16-year-old Anthony Rosales is not on a ventilator and is breathing on his own.

Rosales was traveling in an SUV with his parents Jessie and Lorena, his 13-year-old sister Stephanie and his 6-year-old brother Angel when they were hit by a speeding car.

Anthony was thrown from the vehicle and seriously injured. His four family members were killed.

According to Grand Prairie police, the two suspects, Jaime Mesa and Anthony Morales, were racing their Dodge Chargers at the time of the accident.

According to an affidavit, witnesses said Mesa was traveling at over 100 mph when he struck the Rosales' SUV.

Both Mesa and Morales face numerous charges, including manslaughter and aggravated assault.
