Gas prices remain a major issue ahead of the 2024 presidential election. With President Joe Biden deciding not to run for re-election, Vice President Kamala Harris, the current Democratic presidential nominee, must outline how she will address the country's high gas prices and energy costs and how both will affect the economy and people's finances.

While prices have fluctuated in 2024, they have fallen in recent weeks and months. However, gas prices are still significantly higher than they were during former President Donald Trump's administration.
