Real Madrid TV criticises referee and broadcaster for ignoring a possible penalty incident against Mallorca

Kylian Mbappe made his eagerly awaited La Liga debut for Real Madrid against Mallorca on Sunday, but it was not the triumphant start he had hoped for. The game ended in a frustrating 1-1 draw, leaving the French star and Carlo Ancelotti with mixed feelings.

Real Madrid started the game promisingly and put Rodrygo ahead after just 13 minutes, but they were unable to hold on to their advantage.

In the second half, Mallorca's Vedat Muriqi equalized, and despite all efforts The Royal couldn't find a way to secure the win.

How did Mbappe perform?

Mbappe, who played as a centre-forward, was not at his best. He had previously stated that he prefers to play on the wing rather than in the middle.

Despite his limited impact, the French superstar tried to make a difference during the 90 minutes he was on the pitch.

He had a remarkable 13 touches in the box and shot four times, two of them on goal. He also completed three successful dribbles and had an impressive passing accuracy of 81%, completing 25 of his 31 attempted passes.

However, Mbappe's total contact count of 44 was the lowest among Real Madrid's outfield players. This is not surprising for a centre-forward, but it still shows how involved he was in the game.

Despite his efforts, he lost the ball 11 times. By comparison, Vinicius Jr. lost the ball 24 times during the game.

Mbappe's performance reflected the challenges that come with adapting to a new position in a new environment. His usual flair and influence were somewhat muted, but his involvement in the game was clearly evident through his touches and tries.

Real Madrid hope that as he adapts, he will have a greater impact on games and lead to more successful results for the team.
