At least one person in custody after police issued arrest warrant for murder at Opa-locka townhouse

OPA LOCKA, Florida. – At least one person was arrested Monday morning after an arrest warrant was served at a townhouse in Opa-locka.

Sky 10 was over the 1800 block of Northwest 142nd Lane, and several people could be seen sitting in chairs in front of the house that was the focus of the investigation.

Several detectives in unmarked vehicles were on site along with Miami-Dade police.

A Local 10 news crew observed detectives entering and exiting the home.

Forensic investigators were also seen taking photos of the outside of the house.

Miami-Dade Police Detective Angel Rodriguez later confirmed that the MDPD's Special Response Team had obtained a search warrant for the home in connection with a homicide case.

Police have not released further details about the crime, but a detective at the scene confirmed that at least one person was taken into custody for questioning.
