3 people shot outside Hardin County Courthouse; shooter at large

Police are on the scene of a shooting outside the Hardin County Courthouse in Elizabethtown on Monday morning. Officials said three people were shot, but the extent of their injuries was not immediately known. Police said the shooter, whose name has not been released, is still at large and multiple agencies are actively searching for him. Police say the shooting was targeted. Some schools in the area have been placed on “light lockdown” as a result. People are being asked to avoid the area around the town square as well as East Poplar. Police are on the scene of a shooting outside the Hardin County Courthouse in Elizabethtown Monday morning.

According to official reports, three people were shot, but the extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

Police said the shooter, whose name has not yet been released, is still at large and several agencies are actively searching for him.

According to the police, the shots were targeted.

For this reason, “soft lockdowns” are currently in place in some schools in the region.

People are asked to avoid the area around the town square and East Poplar.
