Walnut Hill, Florida woman arrested on drug charges – The Atmore Advance

According to Atmore police, a Walnut Hill, Florida woman was arrested on August 18 for drug possession.

Police spokesman Sgt. Darrell McMann said in a news release that 36-year-old Victoria Burkett was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

McMann said on the day of the arrest, an APD officer stopped a vehicle with only one headlight on North Main Street around 1:15 a.m. McMann said the officer contacted Burkett.

“During officers' interaction with Burkett, they obtained probable cause to search the vehicle and discovered a syringe containing methamphetamine and other items commonly used to ingest narcotics,” McMann said.

Burkett was subsequently taken to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
