Domestic incident in Rome leads to arrest – Oneida Dispatch

ROME, NY — On August 11, State Police arrested Michael A. Perron, 40, of Blossvale on the following charges:

– Third-degree robbery, a class D felony.

– Third-degree criminal damage, a class E felony.

– fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony.

– Third-degree menacing, a Class B misdemeanor.

– unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the third degree, a Class A misdemeanor.

– two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a Class A misdemeanor.

– criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a Class A misdemeanor.

– Second degree harassment, a violation.

Authorities arrested Peron following an investigation that began on August 9, 2024, after he allegedly threatened a female victim, forcibly took and damaged her cell phone, and pushed the victim while two young children sat on her lap.

The next morning, August 10, Perron took the victim's vehicle without permission and left the residence. The victim contacted state police, who came to the residence and questioned her. During the investigation, the victim turned over an illegal rifle that belonged to Perron. The rifle was not used during the previous domestic dispute.

State police found Perron at his residence on August 11 with a warrant for his arrest. They booked Perron into SP Lee's custody and held him in the Oneida County Jail until he was arraigned in CAP Court on Monday, August 12.
