The road remains closed at the site of Friday's train accident and the subsequent standoff with the police

MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WKEF) – The road remains closed Friday at the site of a train crash and standoff with police.

The City of Miamisburg released photos of the closed intersection at West Linden Avenue and the railroad tracks that run parallel to the Great Miami River. The Linden Avenue Bridge over the Great Miami River also remains closed.

Friday's incident reportedly began with a chase in Warren County. The suspect reportedly fled into Miamisburg and crashed into the side of the moving train near Linden Avenue and South Riverview Avenue.

A SWAT team was called to the accident because, according to police, the suspect was probably armed and was still in the vehicle after the accident.

Miamisburg City Schools ordered a lockdown of several buildings in the district for the duration of the incident. Students were released from those schools shortly after 5 p.m. Friday.

A CareFlight rescue helicopter was seen landing near the crash site, but there is no official announcement about the suspect's condition.
