New photos of possible suspects in mass shooting

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – Four people were hit when more than 200 shots were fired in South Bend.

In today's edition of Michigan Unsolved, we take a look at never-before-seen photos of people believed to have been involved in this mass murder.

On Sunday, July 28, more than 200 people were in the area of the 1300 block of Bissell when shots rang out shortly after 1 a.m.

What you hear in the video above is just 32 seconds from that night – a night in which more than 200 shots were fired from over 24 weapons.

“This sounds like a war zone,” said Lt. Kayla Miller of Michiana Crime Stoppers. “We don't live in a war zone, and yet that's exactly what happened. The 200 shots fired should scare us and inspire us to continue working together.”

The crime scene spanned more than two blocks. When officers arrived, they quickly found three victims. The next day, a fourth victim checked himself into the hospital, making it a quadruple shooting.

“The fact that we have four victims is a miracle,” said Lt. Miller. “It's horrible, but it's also a miracle that no one valued life in this incident. No one.”

At this time the condition is still serious but stable.

“It's unbelievable. There's no reason for this in our community,” said Lt. Miller. “We're better than this. We're better than this.”

Investigators are hoping you will come forward as there is very little cooperation at this time. If you recognize anyone in the gallery above, you are asked to call Michiana Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP (7867) or submit an anonymous tip online.
