CMPD: Suspect arrested in fatal shooting in Charlotte, NY – WSOC TV

CHARLOTTE – Police in New York have arrested a man accused of shooting someone in northwest Charlotte in March.

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, 31-year-old Darien Lamont Morrison was found shot multiple times on Bradford Drive on March 17. Police said he died at the scene.

According to a police report, the shooting occurred outside a bar, but it is unclear what caused the shooting.

On Monday, CMPD announced that a suspect had been identified and charged. Terrance Gerod McBride, 37, was arrested on Saturday in New York, New York. He is charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

McBride is awaiting extradition.

No further information has been released.
